01Makino / Recorn FoodsProblem-solving case study
Design was not the starting point.
The problem was.
A wide range of flavours and formats needed to feel like one modern brand while keeping each product easy to identify at shelf and online.
My role in solving it.
As Graphic Designer and Product Manager, I worked across packaging, promotional design, social communication and production coordination.
The thinking behind
the solution.
Each step answered a specific communication or production constraint. The goal was a system that could keep working beyond one polished frame.
Use flavour coding without fragmenting the brand
Build adaptable product line-ups for commerce and campaigns
Coordinate artwork for reliable production
Built as a system,
not a one-off.
The final outputs were connected by one design logic, so the idea could stay clear while moving across formats, audiences and production needs.
What the solution achieved
A more coherent, scalable visual system for presenting Makino’s expanding snack range across physical and digital touchpoints.
See the system
in use.
Selected outputs show how the solution moved from design logic into practical, production-ready communication.
